Most of us now know that we should be eating a lot more fruit and veg than the average person if we are hoping to maintain a leaner figure. The fastest way to eat more vegetables and fruits is to start swapping meals daily, instead of that one big meal you used to eat late in the day, try eating a salad and just see how much more fresh you feel in the morning. Don't get lazy here, don't just buy a salad from your local store, they're normally un-fresh and soggy anyway, try getting creative in the kitchen and make your own. Preparing a salad takes about 10 minutes. Cooking a meal takes around an hour. So it's not just remarkably healthier, it a lot faster too.
If you have any Tupperware you can make the whole thing the night before and leave it in the fridge overnight so it's ready to eat the next day. Grabbing a meal fresh from the fridge is a lot cheaper than spending money at a fast food joint, and a lot healthier too. I also always make sure I have a selection of fresh fruits available so I can grab a healthy snack if I'm peckish throughout the day.
I'm glad now that the big fast food chains have jumped on the healthy eating bandwagon, big players like McDonald's and Burger Kings now have quite a large selection of fresh fruits available, so the next time you're there make sure you check them out. If you're a serious workaholic and simply can't find the 10 minutes a day to make a salad your next best bet is to just buy one from the store, but I recommend you try your best to prepare them yourself.
